Tunes.

We went to an awesome Silver Jews concert a couple weeks ago, and I keep thinking about it. I feel, unexpectedly, like it might be my favorite concert ever. Last weekend when we spent almost all Saturday gardening, we blasted Silver Jews albums on the outside speakers to reminisce.
Some other bands/artists I've been enjoying while I work:
Feist
M. Ward
She and Him
Bonnie Prince Billy
Clem Snide
Jens Lekman
Tom Waits
Mahalia Jackson

Any bands you've been particularly loving lately? Do tell!

Betsy! This is great. I especially love your pictures. I'm a fan of everyone on your list except Him and Her. I'll have to check them out. Have you listened to Eef Barzelay? He's the lead singer from Clem Snide. We went to his show a few months ago at Plush and it was one of my favorite shows ever. Clem broke up, but Eef was pretty much Clem anyway. Wilco's on my list...Ryan Adams too. Shoot. And Dolorean (not their last album though). Dolorean is depressing but some sick side of me revels in suicidal lyrics. You have confirmed my thoughts that missing the Silver Jews show was a very bad decision, but we got down there and were both so tired that we turned around and went home. I'm getting old I guess. Thanks for sharing!

Kristi...Oh, I stole that picture from the Silver Jews site. Should have credited...oops! I'll have to listen to Dolorean, although not sure how I'll feel about suicidal lyrics.

Dana...ooh thanks for the recommendations! Haven't heard of any of them, so can't wait to check them out. Hope you are well!!
